The 2nd and 3rd RV

RV number 2 & 3

This is a 1973 GMC 26 foot front wheel drive.  They are unique as front wheel drive coaches powered by Olds in this case. I converted this engine from carburetor to fuel injection. Actually I owned two of these, but no photos of the 2nd one.

I had two of these 26 foot GMCs. The 1973 was powered by an Oldsmobile drivetrain and the 1976 by a Cadillac drivetrain. The 1973 had more power with a bigger engine and less pollution control devices.

This was my first extended RV trip from Miami to California via Nashville, Tucson, Las Vegas, and include a stop in Mexico.  The original destination was Alaska, but I chickened out.

I loved Tucson so much that I went back to Miami, sold everything there and moved to Tucson. Spent ten years there before moving back to Florida where I am now.

If you’ve never been out west, you should do that.
